VON, Antigonish

VON stands for Victorian Order of Nurses.  The VON is a national health care organization that offers a wide range of community health care programs and services.  They are a not-for-profit organization and registered charity and were founded in 1897.  VON believes in treating the whole person, not just their ailment.  They offer many support services to enhance clients' quality of life in the comforts of their own home.

Enhance quality of life for seniors and persons with disabilities. Many of the participants have dementia.

VON Canada is Canada’s only, national, not-for-profit, charitable home and community care organization. For more than 115 years, our nurses, therapists and other health care providers have cared for Canadians in their own homes. Today, we offer more than 75 home care, personal support, and community services designed to help people of all ages to get healthy and stay healthy. Our team of more than 5,000 staff and 9,000 volunteers serves Canadians in more than 1,200 communities across our country.
