Saturday, October 28, 2023 is the date for the 8th Helping the Helpers Awareness and Education Day!
The event will once again take place at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. We are looking forward to offering another exceptional day of sharing, education and support for First Responders and their families and coworkers who are dealing with PTSD or other psychological workplace injuries.
This is a great information sharing day from front line professionals sharing their lived experience of living with PTSD and front line professionals providing clinical expertise.
Expectations of Service Learning Students:
- Students must arrive on time.
- Students must dress appropriately. (No inappropriate amount of skin or inappropriate slogans) Appropriate footwear is also required.
- “No scents is good sense”. Please do not wear scented products to your placement.
- Electronic devices are not permitted for personal use while working at your placement.
- If you are sick and contagious, please STAY HOME.
- Please contact your site supervisor and your Student Leader of any and all absences.
Registration for one-time events begins Wednesday Sept 13th at noon and the deadline is Wednesday Sept 20th at noon.
